About This Spot

Stepping into Julio’s Seasoning & Corn Chips feels like settling into a familiar neighborhood spot where the aroma of fresh tortillas and the hum of conversation invite you to slow down and savor simple joys. Nestled along US-90 in Del Rio, this place strikes a comfortable balance between the bustling energy of a local favorite and the homey charm of a well-loved kitchen that’s seen generations come through its doors.

The atmosphere carries a warm, unpretentious vibe—where the clink of plates and the rustle of paper bags filled with their famously seasoned chips set the rhythm. There’s a sense that everyone here knows the secret: it isn’t just about filling up, it’s about reconnecting with flavors and moments that feel lifted from home. Service is straightforward and friendly, enhancing that welcoming aura without fuss.

Julio’s is best experienced through the colored lens of its food—bold yet unpretentious, each plate served with a quiet nod to local tastes and heartier Mexican comfort food. Imagine thick, hearty tacos that practically fold over to hold rich, juicy fillings, or a plate of chalupas that feels like a small celebration of textures and spice. The signature seasoned corn and those crisp, addictive corn chips are little discoveries in themselves—a light crunch dusted with a seasoning that carries a deeply familiar, almost nostalgic quality.

Whether you drop by for a quick breakfast or linger over a midday meal, the pace here encourages you to breathe in those everyday moments, the kind that tether you to a place and its community. Julio’s doesn’t shout for attention; instead, it quietly holds a steady place in the hearts of locals and travelers who know that some flavors—that unmistakable seasoning, the perfectly cooked brisket, or the subtle warmth of homemade salsa—are worth coming back for again and again.

If you're passing through Del Rio or live nearby, Julio's Seasoning Corn and Chips is a must-stop. The chips are legendary—light, crispy, and packed with that signature Julio’s seasoning you can’t find anywhere else. They’re so addictive I ended up buying several bags to take home. I also had the seasoned corn and it blew me away—perfectly spiced, fresh, and bursting with flavor. You can really taste the care and local pride in every bite. The restaurant is small, casual, and welcoming, with friendly staff who know their regulars and treat everyone like family. This place is a true Texas gem. Come hungry, leave happy.

The food was so very delicious! The bean were the best beans I've ever had before! Rice was good, not dry. I had the chicken crunchy tacos, husband had the beef crunchy tacos. Both very good. The salsa that came with the chips was fresh and tasty, very mild though. The dance that came with the tacos, green, very good, not much though. I did ask for something hotter and was brought more green sauce, maybe different and hotter. This place was very, very good. We do feel very bad that somehow we forgot to tip the waitress. We are so very sorry.

Very good food though a bit of a different sauce on enchiladas. Fast and friendly service. The main reason to go is to purchase as many of the WONDERFUL Julio products you love!!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – Julio’s in Del Rio Let me keep it real — Julio’s in Del Rio does not play around with their tacos. These things are huge — we’re talking each taco takes up more than half the damn plate, and they still hook you up with a full side of chips. The meat was juicy, the seasoning was on point, and every bite had that legit homemade flavor you can’t fake. If I didn’t live in San Antonio, I’d be living in Del Rio just to stay close to this place. No joke. The girl at the window was friendly and on top of it, service was quick, and the whole experience was solid. If you haven’t hit this spot yet, you’re missing out. Five stars from me, easy.

We come to Del Rio every other week and have enjoyed stopping by each time we are in town. The food is delicious and the service is great. The queso and chips might be my favorite starter! You can buy any and all of the chips your heart desires on spot! The atmosphere is relaxed and usually quiet when we are there. You order as you walk in, instead of sitting down and ordering from a menu at the table so look at the menu ahead of time so you can get your delicious food ASAP! Every

Restaurant relatively small but worth the stop. They are famous for their corn chips; make sure to ask for them- they won't give them automatically. You order at the counter then get a table. There's a special seafood menu on Fridays in Lent. If you're a vegetarian, ask for the taco or chalupa plate with beans instead of meat. They sell bags of their chips in different sizes and flavors, as well as hot sauces and refrigerated fresh salsas.
